Give a Terrific Party for Your Children and Their Acquaintances

You are all grown up and you don’t love your neighbors good enough to demand for treats but that does not mean that Halloween is off-limits. Take a costume (and we will not permit you to keep recycling your “Sexy Bunny Girl” costume), send the invitation and have everyone over for a really grown-up, really fashionable Halloween party. No cheesy dresses or goodies allowed!

Hay bales, autumn leaves, and pumpkins galore are all you want to produce a pumpkin patch in your yard:

* Tiny hay bales (@ 4 ins high x 8 inches long) are a favorite autumn ornamentation this season. I’ve even seen them on shop shelves in my local chemist’s! Set small bales in the middle of your snack counter or craft table, and sprinkle autumn leaves around the base.

* If wider hay bales are available in your area, put some in your backyard. As an substitute, you can create the spirit of a hay bale by turning a tough, heavy plastic milk crate upside down, and covering it with burlap or rustic fabric.

* Pull apart a tiny bale and stack the hay on the covered crate along with fall leaves.

* Lay groupings of pumpkins in the backyard on beds of huge green silk leaves to give the illusion that they are popping up all over!

* Buy or produce wood yard signs such as “Scarecrow Crossing.”

* To top your themed Halloween party ideas, balance a wacky strawman against a tree, with a bunch of apples in his lap.
Spooks, ghouls and things that go bump in the night - all trademarks of a brilliant Halloween. But instead of parting ways after the trick or treating ends, host a haunted Halloween celebration for your best acquaintances. Ghost narratives, a terrific candy bar and fun for ghouls will make this a celebration guests will not shortly forget.

Supplement everyone’s trick or treating loot with an brilliant haunted goody table that includes ghost pops, a gory sanguineous chocolate fountain and merry Halloween cupcakes.
