How Visualization Is Different from What You May Have Tried for Pain Relief

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

You’ve probably tried everything you can think of to ease your chronic pain. But chances are that in your search for relief you haven’t tried anything quite like visualization statements.

Visualization statements represent the specific language that your subconscious wants you to read back to it to help ease your pain. They’re simple and are targeted directly at the main factors that could bring you relief.

You can obtain these statements by learning how to communicate directly with your own subconscious mind. The process is straightforward and can be done at home by working with a facilitator over the telephone. You you need no special skills and no previous experience in working with the subconscious.

How They’re Unique

You may find that visualization statements are unique in several ways:

• They’re based on content from your own subconscious mind. This gives you information about your pain that you may not have been able to obtain anywhere else, placing you in control of the process in a significant way.

• They’re non-invasive, easy to perform, and economical in their use of time. Even among other mind-body methods this makes them unique.

• They can have bonus consequences beyond relief of the pain itself. In some cases they produce benefits such as better sleep and a more positive mood.

• They’re based on a planned strategy that helps you focus on specific weak points or leverage points along the pathway by which pain signals reach your brain. Unlike pain meds, which aren’t yet developed enough to affect all these leverage points, your subconscious may have the ability to influence most or all of them.

• They’re obtained via a one-time investment that teaches you a skill, namely how to communicate with your subconscious about your pain to obtain relief. It has no on-going costs, but does have an on-going benefit: the ability to use the subconscious to handle new pain or other conditions that may crop up in the future.

Engaging the Subconscious

Visualization statements can be used to explore the use of the subconscious for pain relief regardless of whether you have back pain or pain in the neck or other extremities, arthritis pain, fibromyalgia pain, and neuropathic pain (nerve pain).

The subconscious is quite powerful. When programmed through the very visualizations that it suggests, it may be able to turn episodes of uncontrolled pain into events over which you have a degree of control.

How To Have Fun At Your Wedding

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Weddings are a wonderful time. For you, the bride and groom, it is a time to celebrate love and finding the person with whom you will live happily ever after. For your family, this may be a chance to renew ties and have a reunion. For your friends, it’s a chance to party! It is an exciting and happy time for everyone.

The reception is meant to be a time to let the joy sill over so why not plan some activities and entertainment to make it even more fun. For example, in some countries, the single ladies avoid catching the bouquet so the bride doesn’t do the bouquet toss. The ladies are all gathered and asked to form a ring and a bunch of flowers, usually roses, are passed around in time to music. When the song is stopped, the ladies are asked to check if their flower is the one with a special tag or marking. That lady is given the bouquet.

For couples who love to dance, why not have a really good big band play. It’s wonderful to have musicians who can croon you the sweetest love songs and who can also get everyone’s feet tapping to the beat. Your wedding planner is sure to have a list of performers who can get your guests in the mood.

You may also have some family traditions that can keep the celebration swinging. Bring out those dances that can be easily taught and will be a new experience for some of the guests. Reels and line dances are fun to watch and even more enjoyable to do. Get everyone into the groove!

Sanctity of Marriage; Between a Man and a Woman

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

In the debate over gay and lesbian marriage one has to ask if this controversy is getting out of hand. Personally I see a real problem brewing and I am concerned for the safety of the American People. There is an element of the gay fringe, which will go out of their way to use extortion tactics, slanderous accusation and threats on anyone who disagrees with them over the gay marriage issue.

What is the FBI type profile of the gay fringe; well let me give it my best interpretation of what I call the gay fringe. It is a group within the “gay parade” type group only more on the violent side of things, willing to take action at a drop of the hat if anyone looks to be in opposition. In discussing this online one gay activist stated;

“I have to disagree somewhat your comments on ‘flagrant gay males’ being angry and vindictive social time bombs. This really is unfounded paranoia on your part, in my judgment.” And “They aren’t necessarily angry about their position in life (though maybe they ought to be). And few of them are given to being vindictive. Your reaction does strike me as classic homophobia - an irrational fear or anxiety without any basis in fact.”

Interesting in that I gave a real live example of threats, extortion and slander. Instead of addressing this I am called a Homophobia. Indeed everyone that the G & L Community disagrees with is instantly and automatically called a “Homophobic” please spare us all the BS. In this statement they admit there are a few which are vindictive. Why thank you, finally you admit it.

Now then why is it that the gay and lesbian community will not do something about this problematic fringe, as it might help their agenda so they can all get married? They reason to me is clear they secretly approve of these tactics as it is a means to an end. Consider this in 2006. We have a social dilemma on our hands and it is looking more every day like a social time bomb.

You said yes - panic stations ladies.

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Marriage is one of the most beautiful declarations of love within a relationship, bound together in love and should be the most romantic time of your life. But marriage is one of the stressful times in your life too.

Unfortunately most of the wedding preparations are all done by the woman. If your man is anything like my husbands then they will not care much that you want the perfect dress to go with the perfect weather, perfect car, church/ceremony and reception. All that he will care about is that you are going to be his bride and that everyone has a good time.

For the woman, marriage is for most something that has been dreamt of since childhood. The white dress has been envisaged for many years and the dream has to now become a reality. Here is where careful planning and organisation will really play a major part. One of the major stresses will be the wedding dress and so I will concentrate on that here.

First of all decide a timeline, how long is the engagement going to be? Give yourself plenty of time and allow at least a year. Sounds like a long time but really it isn’t, normally when you order a wedding dress it will take at least 2 months to arrive normally much longer.

Start looking for a dress as soon as you can. Buying a few bridal magazines will help you have an idea of what styles are around and what colours are going to look good. If you have a theme you will want to incorporate this into all aspects of the wedding including your dress, bridesmaid dresses, and all accessories.

Make a budget for the wedding, get a few quotes and arrange a budget around what you have available to spend and overestimate the costs to ensure that you wont have any nasty surprises come payment time.

Wedding dresses very greatly in their prices, most ranging from £500 upwards, however it is possible to have the wedding of your dreams without breaking the bank.

Shop around. Have a look at numerous shops on the high street, you may get a great deal online, or can get a second hand one that is equally beautiful from a charity shop, on eBay or in your local newspaper classifieds. Remember that a wedding dress is only usually worn once, and a bargain can be found for the perfect dress if you look for it.

Unless you are very lucky it will have taken you around 1 to 3 months of searching for the dress you want if you bought it second hand or off the peg at a shop make sure the dress fits, remember that your weight can fluctuate so allow enough room for an increase if needed, you can have the dress altered nearer the wedding date. For those ordering a dress, again remember to check how long the dress you want will take to come back, you will also need a fitting and time for any alterations including a last fitting before you take the dress home. Allow for any time lag in your dress arriving, most companies do not make the dress in the UK rather the dress is made in China or Indonesia the couriered to their head office in US before being shipped back to the UK office then to the shop you are ordering the dress from. Any part of the process can have a hiccup so be aware that this could happen so as to not panic if the dress is delayed slightly.

Once you have your dress chosen that is a major part of the wedding completed and you can enjoy the rest of the arrangements.

Las Vegas Helicopter Weddings

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

If you’ve always dreamed of flying in a helicopter, Las Vegas helicopter weddings are your chance to incorporate that dream into your wedding plans. You may think of your helicopter as mere transportation, taking you from one location in and around Las Vegas to another or you may plan your entire wedding inside the helicopter while you are up in the air, or on the way to the location of your choice.

Imagine flying over the desert, seeing Lake Las Vegas underneath you as you whisk by on your way to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam or wherever your dreams and your budget take you. Some couples have been known to use helicopters to transport their entire wedding parties from the location of the service to the reception. Others have booked private flights to “consummate” their marriage discreetly while flying above the strip or the lake or other locations.

Whatever you want to see, wherever you want to go and whatever you want to do on a helicopter, it can be arranged in Las Vegas. Your Las Vegas Helicopter Wedding can even be recorded on video while you’re flying over the strip so you’ll have a cherished memory to take home with you. They’ll even include extra guests onboard to join in on the service with you at no extra charge! Only in Las Vegas could something like this be available at rates that make it an exciting yet affordable adventure to begin your new married life together.

Las Vegas Weddings Info provides detailed information on Las Vegas wedding chapels, packages and receptions, as well as garden, helicopter, casino, hotel, Elvis and other Las Vegas theme weddings. Las Vegas Weddings Info is the sister site of Maui Weddings Web.

Moissanite Bridal Rings -True Choice Of The Young Heart

Friday, November 14th, 2008

What best way can a bride think of rising to the very special occasion in her life, if that occasion does not have the glitter of jewelry in it! Brides today need not despair and give up hope if diamonds are outside their reach. Welcome to the world of moissanite bridal rings! Wondering what the price of moissanite bridal rings could be? Smile. You don’t have to earn a ton of money to own one of these exquisitely crafted beautiful bridal rings. Jewelry stores and jewelers would strongly suggest that a diamond is after all a diamond and is always the last word in bridal fineries and outfits. Great suggestions of course, if there were no relevant alternatives that could work equal wonders.

Imitation diamond rings they may be but you would be excited to know that all moissanite bridal rings are given the stamp of quality before they leave your jeweler’s store. Skilled craftsmen get to the last handcrafted detail and make every single ring a piece of enviable jewelry. Each ring is measured meticulously in the laboratory for its refractive index, its color, clarity and its hardness. Moissanite unlike diamond does not crack under pressure since cracks and fissures are absent and research has proved that a piece of moissanite jewelry can well last beyond its lifetime.

Moissanite Imitation Diamond Rings Make A Great Fashion Statement!

A moissanite ring on your bride’s finger is more than mere sparkle. It is an affirmation of the everlasting commitment and love you feel for her. On her part, she may feel very special wearing her moissanite bridal ring on her special day, its shine and fire adding to the brightness of her eyes.

Finally do not get carried away by someone telling you that you made a mistake settling for imitation diamond rings. You know your finances best and surely you would not want to spoil the magnificence of a once-in-a-lifetime experience by having to worry about debt repayments. It is the wise couple indeed who recognise that a diamond ring might be nice but isn’t essential, and that there are some things in life more important, like kids and a house, and that it may not be so smart to go into debt just for the ring.

Therefore in the new millennium, moissanite bridal rings are the true choice of the young heart.

Find out more about Moissanite as well as Moissanite Engagement Rings and other types of Moissanite rings at Peter’s website, The Magic of Moissanite.

Wedding InvitationsToday’s Etiquette and Wording

Friday, November 14th, 2008

The look of the wedding invitations you send will not only says a lot
about you and your husband-to-be they will also convey a fair amount of
information about your upcoming ceremony. So it is important to plan the
type of wedding you will have before you make any decisions about
your invitations.

Based upon the quality of the paper stock, lettering, color and design
you select, recipients are likely to make a determination about the
formality or informality of the event, thus how they should dress. The
color of your invitations may suggest the color scheme of your wedding.
The quality of the paper may indicate how elaborate or simple you
wedding will be.

Choosing Invitations

Stationery StoresMost brides still go to a stationery store to select
invitations. Once there, you can look at brochures and browse through
manufacturers’ catalogs. The catalogs include samples invitations so
that you can feel the paper stock, see the true color of the paper, and
compare different print options. Knowledgeable clerks will be on hand to
help you pick out the desired color and weight of the paper as well as
the ink, style of script, and wording for your invitations. The only thing
remaining for you to do will be to provide the particulars.

There are only a few large manufacturers and they dominate the
wedding invitation industry. As a result, whichever stationery house you
go to you are likely to see the exact same catalogs. Unlike private print
shops, because these companies mass-produce their products they are
able to offer you greater variety at a lower price.

Online ShoppingThere is virtually nothing you can’t buy on
the Internet, including your gown (although I would not recommend an
online purchase for your wedding dress, which must be properly sized
and fitted).

The Internet offers a huge number of sites selling both traditional and
unique invitations. If you are bargain shopping for invitations, the
Internet is definitely the place to go.

Keep in mind that you are always taking a chance when you choose this
method. There is nothing like being able to feel the quality of the paper
or the raised lettering to ensure that you will get exactly what you want.
However, knowing how different weights of papers feel and about the
different methods of printing can help.

Private PrintersBecause of the availability of mass producers
and the tendency of many people to shop for bargains on the Internet,
private shops are now hard to find. If you have your heart set on truly
personalized invitations, look around. You are almost sure to find one
somewhere.

Different Printing Methods

There are essentially four common methods of invitation printing, each
with its own benefits.

HandwrittenIf you are planning a small wedding (meaning 50
people or fewer), it is perfectly acceptable to hand write your invitations.
Of course, this will be hard work, but you will save a lot of money.

EngravedThis is the ultimate in invitation printing. With
engraving, the printer stamps the back of the paper using metal plates.
This raises the print up off of the paper so that you can actually feel the
lettering. For most brides, engraved invitations are much to costly.

ThermographyThis is the most common form of invitation
printing. With this method, the ink is heated to create a raised-letter effect
that is nearly indistinguishable from engraving.

CalligraphyWe all recognize this as another name for fancy
formal script. This method is becoming more popular every year, Many
of the printing houses are now able to offer this print option as well, but it
is not done by hand.

Saying It with Words

Today, there are so many different kinds of familiestraditional,
blended, divorced, etc.that it’s no wonder brides are often concerned
about how to word their invitations without breaching any rules of
etiquette. The stationer you will likely be visiting soon will have more
samples of wording than you will want to see. For now though, I’ll let you
glance at a few of the more commonly used forms. These all fall under
the category “traditional.”

(Bride’s parents are hosting)

The old rule was that the word “honor” should always be spelled
“honour.” This rule is no longer firmly held. However, you should always
spell everything outnames, the date, the time and the location.

There are definite rules regarding the use of initials. “Doctor” (medical
only, otherwise the professional title is not used) is written in full, unless
the name to follow is long. “Mr.” is never written “Mister,” but “Jr.” may
also be written as “junior,” although the first is preferred.

It is acceptable to use numbers when writing the address of the church
or synagogue, but avoid doing so. Generally, the address (including the
street name) of the location where the wedding will be held is omitted.
You may want to include it if not doing so would be likely to cause your
guest frustrationwhen, for example, you are getting married in a large
city and guests would have to guess which of the several churches with
the same name you mean.

If you do include the address and you are using a formal style of
wording, spell out numbers under 100. Never abbreviate words such as
“Street,” “Avenue,” and “Road,” and do not include the zip code.

Saving Time and Money

If you are pressed for time, ask the stationer if you can have the
envelopes early. This way, while you are waiting for your invitations to
be printed you can address the envelopes.

When it comes to deciding how many invitations to order, you should
definitely order slightly more than you think you will need. Chances are
you are going to need more than you thought. It’s a lot more expensive
to place a second order than it is to order extras.
